Now I’m a fully qualified English language teacher, from primary to tertiary levels, teaching for over 30 years. I absolutely love helping others to learn and seeing their confidence grow as they start to improve their English pronunciation.
However, the way I learned how to teach pronunciation was not only boring to learn, but very boring to teach! I found the ‘Listen and Repeat’ method good but it only helped the 10% of aural learners. Other learners needed other help. We are also taught to teach each new sound with a word with the new sound. This is a great idea but if this is also the first sound you are learning, there are other sounds in the word that could cause problems!
I thought “There has to be a better way to teach PRONUNCIATION than this!
So I decided to use my experience a course writer and pronunciation consultant to major publishing companies to try a different way to teach the sounds to help my ALL my students. The results were better than I hoped. My English language students are learning faster with this easier method.
I really want to help the thousands of other learners who are struggling with English pronunciation all over the world. It is sad that highly qualified people have to take lower paid jobs, or cant get into university because they can’t speak English.

The 44 sounds of English
Starting with one sound that is also a word. There are no other sounds that you have not learned yet so you can concentrate on one sound only!
Then we add a new sound to the first sound to make a new word. As you learn each new sound it will build on other sounds you already know to make new words!
